The following is an update on several former gridiron standouts from Scotland High School.
Justin Williams- junior running back, Davidson
Williams saw action in all ten games for the Wildcats (3-7) this season and compiled 258 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also had 26 punt returns for 227 yards and 32 kick returns for 660 yards.
J.D. Douglas-Defensive back,UNC Pembroke
Douglas saw action in ten games this season, including one start. He accumulated 15 tackles (12 solo) and forced a pair of fumbles while intercepting a pass. The redshirt sophomore had a pair of kick returns for 51 yards.
Adam Deese- Junior linebacker, UNC Pembroke
Deese finished an impressive season, leading the team in tackles with 52 (30 solo) including seven-point-five tackles for a loss. He saw action in all 11 games with ten starts for the Braves (9-2) this season.
Terrell Manning-Redshirt freshman linebacker, North Carolina State
The 2008 Scotland graduate has seen action in ten games. He has accumulated 31 tackles (17 solo), along with a pair of forced fumbles and an interception for the Wolfpack (4-6).
Tony Robertson-Junior defensive end, Appalachian State
Robertson has compiled 11 tackles (three solo) in nine games (two starts) this season for the Mountaineers, who clinched their fifth consecutive Southern Conference championship last week.
James Robinson- Redshirt freshman linebacker, UNC Pembroke
Robinson saw action in eight games this season for the Braves and registered 11 tackles (four solo).
Justin McLean- Receiver/kick returner, Malone (Canton, OH)
McLean has continued to put up solid numbers at receiver and on special teams for the Pioneers. The 2007 graduate has 34 receptions (second on team) for 518 yards (second) and pair of scores. He also leads the team with 22 kick returns for 567 yards. He also has nine punt returns for 66 yards and 63 rushing yards.
Terrance McLean-freshman Linebacker, Appalachian State
The 2008 graduate has picked up eight tackles (two solo) in eight games this season for the Mountaineers, who play rival, Western Carolina in the battle for the Old Mountain Jug on Saturday.
Cam Sexton- Quarterback, Catawba
Sexton completed his final year of NCAA eligibility by completing 56-of-115 passes for 728 yards and four touchdowns along with three interceptions for the Indians (4-6).
Byron McKnight- Defensive End, South Carolina
McKnight has seen action in seven games for the Gamecocks this season.
