"We could continue to see flu-like symptoms for several months," said Andrea Fields, director of Scotland Urgent Care.
A number of adult doses of the seasonal flu vaccine are on hand at the Urgent Care. Unfortunately, children’s doses are not available at this time.
“We want to encourage adults, particularly those at high risk such as the elderly and chronically ill, to have their flu vaccines in order to avoid the flu risk over the next couple of months," Fields said.
"If the vaccine is unavailable at your primary care physician, consider a stop at the Urgent Care."
The cost of the vaccine is $30. Walk-ins are accepted and there is no charge for an office visit. Those on Medicare should bring their Medicare cards with them so that the cost of the vaccine can be filed for them. All others must pay the $30 fee at the time of service.
