"I was very pleased with the way our season went, finishing second in the conference behind Pinecrest," Roller said. "Making it to the second round was kind of a surprise because we had played Jack Britt in non-conference and they beat us, 7-2. We knew that we had an opportunity of knocking them out and we did that."
Boda, a senior picked up player of the year honors after completing conference play with a perfect 10-0 record. She ended the season with a record of 17-2 and finished in the top eight in the state.
"She's been playing since the age of seven or eight and you'd see her regularly at the tennis courts. It's been an honor to have her on the team," said Roller of Boda. "She's a year-round player and puts in all the time and the effort, so, she deserves this."
After starting out at number-three in singles this year, Eleanor Sojka worked hard and moved up to number-two in singles. That kind of improvement helped the junior make all-conference for the third year in a row.
"She's done an outstanding job for us," Roller said. "As the season progressed, she continued to get better."
Four-year player, Sara Harling, like Sojka, made the all-conference team for a third time. She was number three on singles.
"When Sara came in as a freshman, we had an extremely strong team that year. She stepped into the line-up the next year, and has done a great job for us since," said Roller of Harling.
Despite not making the all-SEC team, Jessica Shelley did garner honorable mention this year. The senior played at number five and made her mark.
"She's another young lady that has worked extremely hard on her game in the off-season," Roller said. "She's a good kid and a great player."
