The Scotland County Literacy Council (SCLC) would like to thank the community for supporting our inaugural Antiques Art & Artifacts auction on Oct. 23. The proceeds will benefit our adult literacy programs. In particular, we would like to thank Scotland Memorial Hospital for making the Dulin Center available to us as well as our two fine auctioneers, Richard Hodges and Kyle Bethel. In addition, the SCLC would like to thank the following for helping to make this event possible: Cypress Bend Vineyards, Art by Design, The Daily Grind, BB&T Bank, the Gill House, Jerry's Deli, Mi Fiesta, Fran McDuffie of the Laurinburg Institute, Susan Covington, Golden Corral, Smithfield Chicken and BBQ, Scotland High School Culinary program, Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Walmart.
