Encore! Theatre, in collaboration with the St. Andrews Presbyterian Theater department, will hold auditions for the upcoming production of "A Christmas Carol" on Oct. 31.

This original adaptation of the Dickens classic was written by St. Andrews Theater Director Mark Mannette, who will also direct and play the character "Scrooge". Brooke Jenkins of Encore will co-direct.

Auditions will be held at the Morris Morgan Theater on the campus of St. Andrews with children's auditions beginning at 9 a.m. with adults at 10:30 a.m.

There are 12 roles for children, six boys and six girls, ages 8 through 16. Children should come prepared to recite or sing a verse from their favorite Christmas Carol. Approximately 20 adults are needed.

The production will take place on the St. Andrews stage Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 17-19.
