Hazel Tyndall Rogers of Laurinburg passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at the age of 79.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Harry Clark. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, S.C.

Hazel was born April 22, 1930 in Saint Pauls, one of 14 children to the late Frank and Lesie Tyndall. She was the lifelong companion of the late Nathaniel Hunt. Hazel devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. Before her illness, she attended the Wagram Church of God and enjoyed going to yard sales.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Christine McGee and husband Larry of Laurinburg, and Betty Barton of the home; a sister, Margaret Miller of Michigan; brothers Franklin “Tom” Tyndall of Hamlet and James Tyndall of Gibson; six grandchildren, Jamie Locklear and wife Nikki, Jessica Breeden and husband Mark, Kasey McCutchen and husband Tim, Franklin Strickland and wife Christina, Michael Brigman and wife Lisa and Timothy Brigman; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 23853.
