Sunday Harry Papantoniou Yeapanis, 86 of Laurinburg died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Toula Van Hooser of Laurinburg; two brothers and four sisters from Cyprus.

Born July 29, 1923 in Cyprus, she was a daughter of the late John and Ellen Papantoniou. In 1948 she, along with her daughter and husband Harry, moved to the United States and in 1958 they succeeded Harry’s late brother, Chris, as owners and operators of Commercial Café in downtown Laurinburg. They continued operations until Harry’s sudden death in 1987.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 101 W. Church St., Laurinburg, NC 28352.
