A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the McPhatter Funeral Home Chapel in Laurel Hill. The Rev. Brian Dixon will officiate.
Survivors are one son, Joseph Harrington of Maxton; four sisters, Katie Bethea and Sarah Wilkerson of Maxton, Ophelia Barbee of Yonkers, N.Y., and Mary Frances Bethea of Manhattan, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
McPhatter Funeral Home is serving the family.
