Mrs. Darthy Haymore Paul, age 93 of Maxton, NC passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009.

A graveside service was on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009 at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Larry Sawyer.

Mrs. Paul was born July 3, 1916 in Pilot Mountain. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillie Haymore and the beloved wife of the late Ralph Paul. She was a devoted homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Paul was a longtime faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, son Lee Gilchrist Paul, Sr. and his wife Annie of Dillon, S.C.; her daughter, Linda Paul Powell and husband Gene Powell of Maxton; a sister, Frances Shackelford of Hamer, S.C.; four grandchildren, Julie Powell Brown of Maxton, Warren Eugene Powell of Rowland, and Chris Paul and Tracey Paul, both of Dillon; and four great-grandchildren.
