Members of the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador Committee hand-delivering copies of the 2009-2010 Chamber Business Directory this week. Chamber business members within the Laurinburg city limits received their copies as part of the committee’s “Operation Thank You” program.

“The Ambassador Committee was excited about the opportunity to reach out to our members by delivering the new chamber directories,” said committee chairperson Vic Celadon. “This gave us an opportunity to talk with members, and tell about some other chamber programs. We appreciate our members’ support, and hope these new directories will provide a means to share business opportunities among local businesses.”

This year’s directories went through an extreme makeover. The directories are slimmer and lighter, more convenient to use, chamber officials said.

The new format provides a calendar of events, and frequently called phone numbers, addresses and contact information for relevant city, county, state and federal offices. “Overall, the newly redesigned directory will be used as a resource for members as well as non-members, and it will be a more professional representation of our business community,” said Theresa Lamson, chamber president.

The directories will be included in visitors’ and relocation packets as needed. Individuals may purchase copies at the chamber office. Chamber members outside of the city limits will receive a copy in the mail.
