Harriett "Dot" Sutherland Moore of Myrtle Beach, S.C. died Sunday, Sept. 20 at Grand Strand Regional Hospital following a brief illness. The service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Main Street Methodist Church in McColl, S.C. Visitation will follow immediately after the service.

Dot was born March 31, 1920 in Laurinburg to Gladys J. and W. R. Sutherland. She graduated from Peace College and was married to the late Ben Frank Moore of McColl..

She is survived by her sister Martha Sutherland Strobel of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters Julia Moore Gibson of Myrtle Beach, Martha Moore Davis of Rogers, Ark. and son Ben Frank Moore, Jr and wife Diane of Brunswick, Ga.; grandchildren Allie Fleming Gibson III and wife Talisha, Ben Frank Moore III, Sarah Carlisle Moore, Leigh Davis, Lauren Davis, Owen Davis, Mary Davis, Rebekah Davis and Ruth Davis; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
