Scotland Community Health Clinic and Stewartsville Baptist Church would like to thank the community for their support in putting together, for the third year, the free dental clinic in Laurinburg.

The clinic this year served over 368 patients with services that would have cost over $168,000. Three local dentists participated this year as well as local hygienists and dozens of dentist and dental students from throughout the state.

For the first time this year we had denture repair, which we hope will be offered again next year.

I would especially like to thank the four motels who provided rooms for the dentists, the local grocery stores, restaurants and individuals who donated food and gift certificates to help feed the volunteers and dentists. Thanks to the Laurinburg Exchange, WLNC, and 104.3 for their coverage of the event. Also, thanks to the County and the Police Department for their involvement. With all of this said, I am sure I have overlooked someone, but you know the part you played in making this event a success.

May God bless each of you for your part. People working together can accomplish great things. Hopefully, next year there will be another clinic and another opportunity for you to be a part of an awesome experience.
