It was hard work, but we can't wait to do it again.
This year's first Washington Park Reunion kicked off with a cookout held at Market Park. It was followed by a banquet and dance held at the school. The school auditorium was decorated in green and gold; the school colors, with a picture of Mr. and Mrs. W.L Baker at the door. Mr. Baker was our principal from 1952 to 1975. We wanted to do something special to honor him. We presented his wife and children with a plaque in his honor.
Alumni enjoyed a catered buffet and later danced the night away to oldies tunes. This year's events were planned by local Washington Park alumni.
