McLean took a short pass and ran away from the defense on a 36-yard scoring play to post his first touchdown with the Pioneers. McLean finished with three catches for 45 yards and a score, and he also returned two kickoffs for 68 yards.

Malone University is located in Canton, Ohio, and the team is currently ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll.

As a senior at Scotland in 2006, the versatile McLean had 210 yards rushing while averaging 11.67 yards per attempt, was 4-of-6 for 132 yards and two touchdowns as a passer, and caught 14 passes for 226 yards and one score.
