Sheila Hunt was among the hundreds of people to flock to Stewartsville Baptist Church for a free dentist clinic Friday.

"I don't have health insurance and I need dental care. I got laid off from my job last June. Now I'm working part time for Shoe Show which, being a part time employee, they don't offer insurance."

She says the clinic "is really good for people who don't have money and insurance."

Linda and Vanessa Mullins were also among those in line for dental car.

"I came last year and the service is excellent," Linda said. "I got three fillings and that would have been over $600, I was told by them, if I had gone somewhere else. I said this year I was going to come back because the service was good."

"This is my first time coming," Vanessa said. "This is a real blessing for me because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go to the dentist to get my teeth done, so its a real blessing."

The clinic expects to see over 400 people by its conclusion on Saturday.

"We do this because there is a huge access to care need with dental and there are clinics that will help kids but there aren't any for adults," said Nancy Slott of Missions of Mercy. "What we do is we target the adults. We go into the community, we get the community to help us help their people."

"We are doing free dentistry. We are helping dental access care needs, but it is a picture of bonding also. It is people coming together to help other people in need, which is unbelievably awesome."
