The Lady Scots won in straight set with the scores of 25-10, 25-17, and 25-14 respectively.
The Scots go to 9-0 on the season after the win on Tuesday evening.
"We played very well tonight," Head Coach David Barnes said. "I thought we played pretty much our game tonight against a talented Terry Sanford team."
The Lady Scots had 41 passes to target out 57 attempts as a team against Terry Sanford, Barnes said.
As a team the Scots had 24 kills to eight hitting errors with a hitting percentage of. 222.
The Scots served 77 times and only missed three times which amounts to around 95 percent serving.
As a team, the Scots had nine aces against three serving errors, Barnes said.
"As a coach I look at serving aces verses serving errors," he said. " I look for the girls to have a three to one ratio, and the girls exceeded that tonight."
Individually, Sarah Laviner lead the Lady Scots with 20 serving points and 5 aces.
Decausha McLean followed Laviner with 10 serving points respectively.
At the net, Whitney Campbell had eight kills leading the team on the night.
Taborah Hollingsworth had four kills and five blocks at the net for the Scots.
Candace Carter had 17 setting assists along with 11 defensive digs to lead the team in both categories.
Campbell was the leading passer for the Scots with seven out of eight passes to target on the night.
Barnes credited the win to an efficient practice on Labor Day.
"We had a real good practice yesterday even though it was a holiday," Barnes said. We had an up beat practice and scrimmaged at the end, and I think that carried into tonight."
The Lady Scots go into conference play on Thursday against Purnell Swett at 6 p.m.
JV
The Scotland High jayvee volleyball team also won their game against Terry Sanford.
The scores of the game were 25-18 and 25-11 respectively.

Individually, Caroline Prigden lead the team in hitting with nine kills for the Scots.
Courtney Collins had nine serving points leading the team.
Greta Griswold followed Collins with eight serving points of her own on the afternoon.
Sophomore setter Hailey Morgan lead the team with 15 setting assists against Terry Sanford.
