Mr. Walter Matthew Revels Sr., 59, of New York, N.Y., formerly of Laurinburg, died Aug. 9, 2009 at Jacobi Medical Center in New York.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church. The Rev. T.R. Davis will officiate.

He is survived by four daughters, Yolonda Revels Snowden, Margie Ann Revels, Monique Revels, and Tameka Revels, all of New York; four sons, Walter Revels of New York, Darren Revels of North Carolina, Jermaine Revels of New York, and Issac Revels of New York; four sisters, Bettie Jean Austin of Laurinburg, and Diana Tyson of Laurinburg, Ada Blackwell of Pennsylvania and Brenda Revels of Laurinburg; and four brothers, William Revels, Walter McDonald, Roy McQueen, and Manuel McDonald of North Carolina.

Burial will be at Stewartsville Cemetery.
