The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Chester Chavis. Burial will follow the service at the Oxendine Family Cemetery.
Mary Lillie was born Feb. 26, 1927 in Robeson County, the daughter of the late Sadie Oxendine. She was a devoted and loving homemaker. Mary enjoyed making others laugh. She was a special sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Oxendine.
She is survived by her brother, Wiley Luther and wife Geraldine of Laurinburg; her sister, Fannie Luther of Laurel Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7 at Richard Boles Funeral Service and other times at the home of her brother, Wiley Luther.
