The Scotland Heat 12U finished 2nd at the NSA 2010 World Qualifier Tournament held at the Freedom Florence Complex, Florence SC on August 1 and 2.

Scotland Heat won the first elimination game 12-0 over the Carolina SWAT team. Scotland Heat won the second game 5-4 in extra innings over Carolina Pride from Lumberton NC. The third game was won 2-1 over Athlete’s Choice Batting Center from Fayetteville NC. Scotland Heat lost 8-6 to South Carolina Flames in the championship game. The tournament was shortened due to rain.

Offense was lead by Shaquailla German, Hannah Hall, Avery Callahan, Hailey Clark & Ashlyn Dial.

Both Shaquailla German and Avery Callahan pitched well for the Scotland Heat.

Scotland Heat 12U began the day with a 4-3 victory over the Lake City Dixie All Stars. They followed that with a 5-1 win over Carolina Pride from Prospect NC. The third game of the day resulted in Scotland Heat losing to the Carolina Cruisers by a score of 2-1. They then played the Darlington Diamond Katz and came away with a 7-5 come from behind win. That resulted in a trip to the championship game against the undefeated Carolina Cruisers. Scotland Heat won the first game 3-0 and then won the final game by an 11-3 margin.

Kenleigh Callahan and Avery Callahan handled the pitching duties with Avery Callahan posting both wins in the championship round.

Avery Callahan was the tournament MVP

Leading hitters for the Scotland Heat 12U were Jazmine Jessie, Hailey Clark, Abby Bray & Ashlyn Dial
