Robbery reported

A Laurinburg man told police he was mugged, according to a police report.

Franklin David Chavis, 37, of East Church Street told officers that two men assaulted him near College Plaza shopping Center on Atkinson Street and took his wallet and cell phone. He recovered his wallet, thoughg the men took $130 from it, the report said.

Chavis told officers he did not want anything to be done about the incident.

Truck shot

A woman's vehicle was reportedly shot while parked near her work, according to Laurinburg police.

Pandora Hunt, 39, of Missouri Road in Maxton, told officers Monday night that someone shot her truck while it was parked on near her Stewartsville Road employer, according to a police report.

Her vehicle, a black 200 Dodge Ram 1500, received an estimated $300 in damage to the truck body and $600 of damage to the rims.

Warrants served on B&Es

Scotland deputies served warrants on two Richmond County teens in two different break-ins, according to sheriff's reports.

Steve Lane Inman, 18, of County Home Road in Rockingham, is charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering for an incident that happened in June, according to a sheriff's report. Inman was picked up at his home Thursday night, processed and released on a written promise to appear in court.

Warrants were also served to 17-year old Albran Tray Locklear, of Quicktown Road in Hamlet, for breaking and entering and larceny from a building, according to a report. Inman turned himself in at the sheriff's office and was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Man accused of smoking crack

Officers arrested a 53-year old Laurinburg man Saturday they say was smoking crack cocaine.

John Haywood Hennegan, of North Main Street, is charged with possession of crack cocaine, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.

Patrol officers in the McDuffie Village area watched Hennegan smoking from a pipe that is commonly used for crack cocaine. They confiscated the pipe, which appeared to contain crack cocaine.

He was placed in Scotland County jail.

Car target of B&E

Laurinburg detectives are investigating a motor vehicle break-in at McDonald's.

An employee of the fast food chain, 53-year Brenda Lee Harrington, of Phritz Street in Laurinburg, told officers Saturday that someone broke the side window of her burgundy 1994 Mercury Cougar and stole her purse while she was at work, according to a police report.

The purse contained her driver's license, social security card, insurance information and cash.

Maxton car reported stolen

A Maxton resident reported her car stolen Thursday, according to a Robeson County sheriff's report.

Linda Hill, 41, reported her 2000 Chevy Prism was stolen from her Island Grove residence, the report said.

A deputy noted tracks that appeared to be from a tow truck.

Maxton man victim of B&E

Brian Jacobs, 36, of McGrit Road, reported Saturday that someone kicked in a door under his home’s carport, ransacked his home, and stole property, a sheriff’s report said.

MIssing were a $200 .32-caliber revolver, a $180 12-gauge shotgun, $260 coin chest case, and $200 cash.

Money, electronics stolen from car

Someone broke into a car in Maxton, according to a Robeson County sheriff;s report.

Jose Olmos, 41, of N.C. 71, reported Friday that someone smashed the driver side window of his 1993 Nissan Sentra and stole electronics, a sheriff’s report said.

The damage was assessed at $350, and the CD/radio player was worth $500.

Gun stolen

A gun was reported stolen over the weekend.

James Bullard, 23, of Charlie Watts Road in Maxton, reported Saturday than his 12-gauge shotgun was stolen from his home, a Robeson County sheriff’s report said.

The shotgun is valued at $350.

Four wheeler taken

A Maxton man's four-wheeler was reported stoled Friday, according to a Robeson County sheriff's report.

Jeffery McNeill, 18, of Mt. Zion Road, reported that someone stole his red Polaris four-wheeler, the report said.

The vehicle is valued at $6,000.
