Johnny Donald Sinclair, age 82 of Laurel Hill, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Springfield Church of God with burial following at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Johnny was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Monroe County, Iowa, son of the late Charles Sinclair and Irma Dougall Sinclair. Johnny was a master plumber, employed with the Gluck Company in California. Johnny also served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was an active and faithful member of the Springfield Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his son Johnny D. Sinclair, Jr.; granddaughter Barbie Norris; and brothers Ralph Sinclair, Archie A. Sinclair, and Ronald Sinclair.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sarah Tucker Sinclair of Laurel Hill; his son James D. Sinclair and wife Judy of Ottumwa, Iowa; his daughters Linda Hall and husband Ernie of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Beverly Booth and husband Brad of Vista, Calif.; his brother Max Sinclair of Arizona; sisters Verbal Dyer of Iowa, Ruth Dyer of California, Ruby Koopman of Iowa, Lois Steen of Iowa, and Geraldine Anderson of Washington; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
