Two gunmen held up the ABC Store in Maxton on Monday, according to town police.

A report said two armed men entered the business at around 6:30 p.m. The men left with an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the report said.

The clerk was the only person in the Martin Luther King Drive Jr. store at the time of the incident, police said.

"We are trying to review the video to determine [their identities]," Detective Jamie Oxendine of the Maxton Police Department said.

He would not release more information as the police report was not yet complete. The report is expected by Wednesday.

Laurinburg police assisted in the incident.
