The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Earl Henderson and the Rev. Ronnie Rogers. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Brian was born Feb. 20, 1978 in Scotland County, the loving son of Griffin Locklear and Betty Clark Locklear. He was a graduate of Scotland High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Brian was a computer technician and a talented website designer. He adored his family and had a passion of animals. Brian served the Lord and attended the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Rowland.
Brian leaves behind his devoted wife, Kimberly “Kim” Michelle Locklear of the home; his parents, Griffin and Betty Locklear of Laurinburg; aunts Hazel Bowen, Rachel Revels, Mable Strickland, Earlene Clark, Elsie Lockey and Judy Bowen; uncles Grady Locklear, J.P. Locklear, Jr., Richard Locklear, Leo Clark and Leonard Clark; a sister-in-law, Beth Locklear; nephew Brayden; special friend, Adam Oxendine; and his pets, Kiddo, Mickie, Freckles and Friday.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Brian to the Humane Society of Scotland County, 1401 West Blvd, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
