Ms. Mary Hazel Smith, 54, of Maxton died May 16, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church in Laurinburg. Visitation will be Monday from noon until 1 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Thomas Smith of Laurinburg and Michael Morrison of Charlotte; and one brother, James Bennie Smith of Atlanta, Ga.

Jackson Funeral Home is serving the family.
