The Hershey Company sponsors this program for children ages 9-14. Boys and Girls must compete in their age group and sex division. Participants may compete in only three events. A participant may compete in two running events and one field event or two field events and one running event. Events include the 50, 100, 200 and 400-meter dash; the 800 and 1600 meter run; the 400-meter relay, standing long jump, and the softball throw.
The top two finishers from each event in each age group qualify to compete in the regional event. The regional track and field event will be held in Laurinburg on Friday. At the region meet, the top two finishers from each event in each age group qualify to compete in the state finals on Friday, June 28.
