Two Laurinburg restaurants – KFC and Pizza Inn – were honored for sales success despite a sagging economy by their parent company, Scottish Food Systems, Inc.

The awards were presented at the companies annual meeting and awards banquet, held at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Laurinburg KFC, located at 1513 South Main Street, received the Sales Achievement Award. KFC General Manager Sandra Locklear and Associate Manager Tashia Floyd accepted the award for their restaurant.

The Sales Achievement Award recognizes those Scottish Food Systems restaurants that achieve a certain level in net sales for the competition year.

Pizza Inn, which is located at 1227 South Main Street, received the Sales Recognition Award. General Manager Diana Chavis, Associate Manager Kim Patterson and Assistant Manager Danielle Grooms accepted the award on their restaurant's behalf.

This award recognizes the top three Pizza Inns within Scottish Food Systems with the most improved sales increase percentages over the prior year.
