The Scotland County Senior Games wound up its 2009 competition. Eighty-seven local seniors participated in golf, shuffleboard, bocce, billiards, tennis, horseshoes, track events, cycling, football and softball throw, swimming, basketball shoot, spin casting, walking events and Silver Arts. Seniors placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the athletic events and 1st and 2nd place winners in the Silver Arts will prepare to compete at the state level Sept. 21-28 in Raleigh.
