Omar Lionel Reed, 30, is charged with malicious conduct by a prisoner, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and two counts of assaulting government employees with a deadly weapon, according to a sheriff's report.
Correction officers were attempting to take Reed back to his cell from an outdoor recreational activity when he attacked several workers, said DOC spokesman Keith Acree.
All of the officers have been treated and released, according to Acree.
