Officers are searching for clues to the identity of a gunman who sent a Laurinburg teenager to the hospital on Sunday morning.

Laurinburg police say Dejaris Fields, 19, was shot following an "altercation" at the intersection of Marcellus and Nichols streets.

Officials have released few details about the cause of the shooting at press time.
