Josh Collins was the winning pitcher for the Scots. He struck out seven batters and allowed just two earned runs to the Bucks.
Tim Chavis was 3-for-4 with two doubles. Buddy Oxendine had a double, and Alex Peele and Daniel Walters had two hits apiece for Scotland.
"We were playing sluggish," said SHS head coach Michael Sellers. "It was 2-1 going into the top of the fourth inning, and the bats started exploding at that point.
"Tim Chavis had a double, Josh Collins hit a double and Kyle Clark had an infield single. After that, the wheels started coming off for Hoke County.
"We started taking advantage of their miscues and had an eight-run fourth inning."
