Police charge man in Pine Acres robbery

Authorities have a man in custody accused of common law robbery at the Pine Acrres Lodge, according to police.

Police arrested 25-year old William Oscar "Get Low" Baker, of Bethoven Drive, Maxton, at a hospital in Dillon County, according to police. He is charged with common law robbery, larceny of a motor vehicle and assault inflicting serious injury.

Baker went to the hospital after receiving a cut on his hand at his Robeson County residence, according to police.

They received information that he was going to the hospital and had Dillon County sheriff deputies detain Baker until they could arrive.

Baker was placed in Scotland County jail under a $25,000 secured bond, according to police.

Baker served 3 and 1/2 years in prison for being an accessory after the fact for both first-degree burglary and discharging a firearm in Guilford County, according to state records.

Baker had 34 infractions while in prison, including assault with a weapon, threatening to harm and injuring staff, damaging property and sexual acts.

The DOC has Baker registered as a member of the gang United Blood Nation.

Man charged with statutory rape

Deputies have a 21-year old Laurel Hill man in custody for allegedly raping a six-year old, according to a sheriff's report.

The report said Christopher Solomon Locklear, of Andrew Jackson Highway, is charged with statutory rape.

He was placed in Scotland County jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

Two charged with drug dealing

Authorities have two Laurinburg teenagers in custody on allegations of dealing marijuana, according to a sheriff's report.

Denny Derrick Dimery, 19 and Brittany Michelle Brayboy, 16, were arrested at their Pea Bridge Road residence, according to the report.

Both are charged with possession with the intent to sell marijuana, sell and delivery of marijuana, maintaining a drug dwelling, manufacture of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment and paraphernalia, the report said. Brayboy is also charged with destroying evidence.

Deputies recovered six grams of marijuana during the arrests.

Dimery and Brayboy are in Scotland county jail, each under a $50,000 secured bond, according to the report.

Man charged with not stopping for sirens

A 20-year old Laurinburg man is cited for failing to stop for sirens on Sunday, according to a police report.

Jeremy Lynn White, of Jackson Street, is charged with failure to stop for police lights and sirens, not wearing seat belt and playing music too loud, the report said.

According to the report, an officer saw Leak driving without his seat belt on. He turned on his blue flashing lights and Leak continued driving. He then turned on his sirens and Leak continued driving.

Leak then pulled over nearly a mile down the road. When the officer approached the car, he could hear the music blasting, the report said.

When the officer asked Leak why he did not pull over, he stated that he could not hear the sirens overtop of his music.

SCSO arrest alleged burglar

A Laurinburg man is charged in a February burglary, according to a sheriff's report.

Deputies arrested 25-year old Antonio Lester Crawford, of Sanford Road and charged him with felony counts of burglary and larceny, the report said. Crawford is the third charged in this incident.

Crawford was placed in Scotland County jail under a $1,000 secured bond, according to the report.

Laurel Hill man charged with AOF

Deputies served a warrant on a 32-year old Laurel Hill man for assault, according to a sheriff's report.

Rico Shaber McIntyre is charged with assault on a female, a charge stemming from a December incident, according to the report.

The report did not list the complainant.
