Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial following in the Church cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Earl Henderson, the Rev. Roger Atkins and the Rev. Robert Goins.
Mrs. Brigman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. She was a lifelong member of the Oak Grove Baptist church. She worked at Scotia Village as a CNA with 18 years of service. She enjoyed doing her Bible School lessons with her sisters. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends down at Santee.
She joined to celebrate her homecoming in heaven her father Neal Goins, Sr., her mother Anna Mae Goins, sisters Vera Mae Mumford and Hazalene Goins, nephew Tommy Lee Jernigan, Jr., and her grandchildren Madison Elisabeth and Rebekah Faith Brigman.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Lester Brigman, Sr. of the home, her children Lester Brigman, Jr., of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Billy Wayne Brigman and wife Tara of North Charleston, S.C., Laura Jean Byrd and husband Chris of the home, very special “adopted” son Franklin Dwayne Turner of Tatum, S.C., and later in life a young man she loved like a son as well: Christopher Paul Coleman of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and daughter- in- law Sharon Esposito Brigman of Greenwood, S.C. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Jessica Anna and Hannah Brigman of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Alexis Jean and Payton Elizabeth Brigman of North Charleston, S.C., and Lily Isabella Byrd of the home and her godchildren Noah Grant and Breanna Renee Shelton of Rocky Mount.
She also leaves to mourn her passing her brothers Eugene Goins and wife Angie, Curly Goins and wife Frances, and Neil Goins, Jr., and wife Patricia all of McColl, S.C., Ricky Goins and wife Connie of Bennettsville, S.C., and Olden Goins and wife Jo of Chattanooga, Tenn., her sisters Dianne Goins and Margaret Jernigan and husband Tommy all of McColl, S.C., brother-in-law Jesse Mumford of McColl, S.C., and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
