Laurinburg’s Jameson Inn has been converted to Quality Inn after being taken over by Choice Hotels International in November.
The 41-room hotel will be managed by Channel Point Hospitality, a subsidiary of Aimbridge Hospitality, a hotel and real estate management company based in Dallas, according to a press release from Choice Hotels.
Changes at Laurinburg’s Quality Inn will include upgraded televisions, an expanded continental breakfast, and a computer system directly linked to online reservation websites. Choice Hotels will also honor its Ascend Collection membership program for Quality Inn guests, giving travelers lodging options at historic and boutique hotels.
“I have no doubt that Quality Inn will be a huge success,” said Seth Morris, Quality Inn general manager. “We are a great hotel in an excellent location and we are very proud to now be flying a Choice Hotels flag.”
The company also owns Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn, Clarion, and Econolodge hotels, among other brands. The chain currently franchises approximately 6,200 hotels worldwide, representing more than 495,000 rooms.
Aimbridge Hospitality manages some 180 hotels with nearly 25,000 rooms nationwide.
