Senior Jessica Milligan pitched her third consecutive shutout — and her fourth on the season — in the SHS varsity softball team's 4-0 road victory over Seventy-First on Tuesday.
Milligan went all seven innings, throwing 71 pitches and striking out a dozen Falcons while allowing just two hits.

"Actually, we hit the ball well, struck it square today," said SHS head coach Patrick Williams, whose team improves to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-Southeastern 4-A Conference. "It was one of those things where the ball was hit directly at people.
"The pitcher, she probably had five or six putouts herself."
Scotland plays at Richmond on Friday at 6 p.m.
