Date rape reported to SCSO

A 20-year old Carthage woman reported being raped, according to a sheriff's report.

The woman told officials that the alleged rapist gave her two pills, then forced her to have sex with him, according to the report.

The department entered into evidence a rape kit, the victim's clothing and blood and urine samples, the report said.

The report did not list the suspect.

Man arrested for larceny, car theft

Authorities have a 39-year old Wilmington man in custody for stealing a car and several counts of larceny, a sheriff's report said.

Ronald Douglas, of south 3rd Street, was arrested at a traffic stop and charged with five counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of felony larceny and larceny of a motor vehicle, the report said.

These charges stem from warrants issued Jan. 9.

According to the report, deputies also discovered 21 units of Xanax and 27 units of Methadone on Douglas. He is also being charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.

Douglas is being held in Scotland County jail under a $56,000 secured bond, according to the report.

Another person in the car was also arrested on drug charges.

James Mitchell Locklear, 40, of McFarland Road in Laurel Hill, is charged with possession of crack cocaine, the report said. He was in possession of two grams of cocaine.

The report listed Locklear's bond at $5,000.

Two men run from deputies

Authorities have one in custody after two men fled from deputies early Monday morning, according to a sheriff's report.

Deputies arrested 18-year old Eric Roger Walters, of Rockyford Road in Laurinburg, after he ran from law enforcement responding to a breaking and entering call, the report said. Walters is charged with second-degree trespassing and resisting arrest.

He was placed in Scotland County jail under a $2,000 secured bond.

The report said a warrant on the other individual was forthcoming.

Deputies catch felon with firearm

A Laurinburg felon was arrested for possessing a firearm after an alleged assault, according to a sheriff's report.

Michael James Goodman, 25, of Airbase Road, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and assault inflicting serious injury, the report said.

The report said Goodman was placed in Scotland County jail under a $2,500 secured bond.

Carolyn Marie Tillage is listed as the complainant on the report.

Man arrested for AOF

Deputies arrested a Laurel Hill man for assault, a sheriff's report said.

The report said 48-year old Ricky Jacobs, of Close Street, is charged with assault on a female.

He is being held without bond at Scotland County jail, according to the report.

The report listed the complainant as Teresa Ann Walden.
