James “ Shockly” Weatherly, age 22 of Gibson passed away suddenly due to an accident on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at St. John United Methodist Church with burial following in Pinecrest Cemetery. Rev. Myron Dice will officiate the services.

Shockly was born Jul. 16, 1990 in Cheraw, SC, loving son of James “Jim” Weatherly and Tammy Farris Weatherly. He was enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Program at Richmond Community College. He served as a member of the St. John United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his parents, Jim and Tammy Weatherly of Laurinburg, formerly of Gibson, a brother, Fletcher “Chandler” Weatherly of the home, sister, Jacqueline Kniskern of Texas, grandparents, James “Jim” and Marcella Lovell of Gibson, nieces and nephews, Hannah Farris, Chaylyn Weatherly, Cameron Kniskern and Wyatt Kniskern; many aunts, uncles and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
