Minnie Mouse, a goddess, a zombie cheerleader and other wild and scary characters were on hand to meet clients at the office of Dr. Bradford K. Faulkenberry on Wednesday.
The 17 person staff there took part in the office’s annual Halloween costume contest which resulted in unsuspecting clients entering the office being visibly unnerved to be greeted by the undead rather than the normal reception workers.
“This is something we all love doing,” said Amanda Clark, who came dressed as a 1950’s pink coat lady.
First prize in the contest went to Tiffany Flowers, who came in a home made Raggedy Anne costume. Coming in second was scarecrow Patricia Hunt, followed by Egyptian goddess Melissa Milligan.
“We are basically a big work family,” said nurse Jill Mathis, who came dressed as a kooky clown. “Things like (the costume contest) are the reason why.”
This is the third year that employees at Faulkenberry’s office have been dressing up for Halloween. They have been dressing as elves on Christmas for the past five years, as well.
“On Christmas we adopt a family as well,” said Mathis.
