The Scotland High School soccer field will be home to this year’s Southeastern Conference tournament.
Beginning Monday at 5:00 p.m., the first of two tournament openers will be played. The first will be a match between the sixth-seeded Purnell Swett Rams and Hoke County, who enters the tournament as a number three seed.
Once that game ends, it will be Scotland and Richmond’s turn to square off in a rematch of the Scots’ season-ending game this past Wednesday night. That game ended in a 1-1 tie. Richmond and Scotland are the number four and five seeded teams in the tournament, respectively.
On October 23rd, the winner of the Scotland/Richmond game will take on the top-seeded Pinecrest Patriots at 5:00 p.m. And at 7:00 p.m. that evening, it will a matchup between Hoke/Purnell Swett and Lumberton for a shot at the conference championship.
The championship will be played Thursday with the time to be determined.
