Lou Wilson Lassiter Ciarrocca, a native of Northampton County, died on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012.

A memorial celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church in Hamlet.

Lou loved family, friends, and fun. She was generous and caring, an outstanding cook, gardener, decorator, and gift-giver extraordinaire. Always inspiring others to be their best, she was a devoted Christian, mother, choir singer, prankster, dowser, and loyal friend. Lou was a faithful member of Marks Creek Presbyterian Church in Hamlet. She touched countless lives in North Carolina and Florida and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by son Mark, daughter-in-law Kathryn, and grandchildren Johnathan and Lila Ciarrocca of Wilmington and son Brian, daughter-in-law Melisa, and grandchildren Anna Lisa and Grant Ciarrocca of Laurinburg. She is also survived by sisters Acree Lassiter of Littleton, Virginia Robertson of Nags Head, and brother Gerald Lassiter of Roanoke Rapids.
