Matthew 28: 19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…

This weekend a large group of our people will be sharing about their mission trip to help a church construct a new building in West Virginia. We do this in response to the call of the Master to Go and to reach people with the good news of the gospel. Going like this helps the receiving church and community. It encourages the leaders and people of that local church. It also encourages and strengthens the sending church. It allows people to see what God can do upfront and personal. They can see a God-sized response to prayer, and the ability to do what they may never do otherwise. It also keeps us from being self-centered in our approach to God. If you haven’t had the chance to be a part of something bigger than yourself, you really don’t know what you are missing. Reach out and be a missionary to your neighbor or person down the street – and you can have a New Hope for Today.

Marshall serves as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church
