The candidates for North Carolina Congressional District 8 will square off in a 90-minute debate at this afternoon.
The debate between incumbent Democrat Larry Kissell and Republican challenger Richard Hudson is at 2 p.m. today at Wingate University’s George A. Batte Fine Arts Center.
It is sponsored by AARP in partnership with Wingate University. The candidates are expected to share their plans about strengthening the health and financial security, according to organizers.
The event is free and open to the public. Officials said the debate will be televised later on CSPAN.
Antonio Blue, who is a Democratic write—in candidate was not invited.
