Woman arrested for bigamy
A Laurel Hill woman was charged as a polygamist, according to a sheriff's report.
Deputies arrested 32-year old Annie Marie Scott, of Katawba Drive Tuesday. She was charged with bigamy.
She was released on a written promise, the report said.
Scott was the subject of a previous Laurinburg Exchange article where he husband anonymously told the paper Scott had two other husbands, neither of which she had legally divorced.
Man arrested for threatening another at gun point
Deputies have a a 38-year old man in custody after he allegedly threatened Gibson resident Henry Pearson at gunpoint, according to a police report.
Terry Lynn Douglas, of Gibson Road in Gibson, was arrested and charged with assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats, the report said.
Douglas is being held without bond at the Scotland County jail, the report said.
State records show Douglas spent time in prison for larceny of a motor vehicle and served community service for two counts of breaking and entering.
SCSO arrest alleged car thief
A Rowland man was arrested as an alleged burglar and car thief, according to a sheriff's report.
Radrelle Kasif Thompson, 20, is charged with burglary - forced entry, larceny after breaking and entering, felony conspiracy, motor-vehicle theft and larceny from a motor vehicle.
Thompson has several prior convictions for attempted wanton injury to a person or property when he was 16, assaulting a government officer or official with a deadly weapon and failure to disperse, according to state records.
Marston woman arrested for larceny
Deputies served warrant on a 51-year old Marston woman, according to a sheriff's report.
Cheryl Prevatte Jones is charged with larceny and communicating threats, the report said.
Jones signed a written promise to appear in court and was released, according to the report.
Laurel Hill man repeat victim of B&E
Fransesco Buto of McEachin Road reported an attempted breaking and entering, according to a sheriff's report
The report said that a "suspect busted [the] window to open door and enter residence."
Buto's restaurant, Bella Luna, was the target of an earlier break-in that netted over $10,000 in electronics and other items.
