People wishing to play in the Barbara Sasseen Memorial Golf tournament need to get their teams together and turn in entry forms by Friday.

The tournament is planned for Sept. 25.

The Barbara Sasseen Memorial Golf Tournament, in its 20th year, is the biggest fund raiser for the Scottish Pilot Club. Proceeds will be dispersed to community organizations in Scotland County.

“The Scottish Pilot Club members are making final preparations for you to enjoy a special day of golf, friends and good food,” said one of the organizers, Sybil Sikes, also member of the Pilots Club.

The charity golf tournament uses the format of 2-low net best balls; four person teams; and 75 percent handicap.

Players may sign up as a twosome and will be paired with another twosome or you may sign up a team of four. Teams should use high and low handicap players.

The tournament fee is $60 per person and includes green fee, cart, breakfast, refreshments on course and awards luncheon.

A shotgun start begins at 10 am with sign-ins and breakfast starting at 9 am.

The awards luncheon will be immediately after play at approximately 1:30pm.

Jersey Mikes cash prizes will be given to the top 3 teams; other special awards will also be given. Mulligans will be available and there will be four raffles.

Entry forms may be picked up at Scotch Meadows Pro Shop, telephone 910-27-0169 or from any Scottish Pilot Club member.

For information, contact co-chairs Jane Callahanv at 276-2016 or Joyce Jewell at 276-3040.
