A woman was admitted to the hospital after being assaulted by a shoe, according to a police report.
The report said that 37-year old Symba Johnson, of Pitt Street in Laurinburg, told officers that an acquaintance of hers, known only as "Butchie," struck her across the face with a stiletto heel while at CG's Lounge.
Johnson told officers that she would find out "Butchie's" real name and take out warrants on her, the report said.
According tot he report, Johnson was treated and released by Scotland Memorial Hospital for a circular laceration on her forehead.
Laurinburg man arrested for assault
The Sheriff's department has a 20-year old Laurinburg man is in custody for assault, according to a sheriff's report.
Carlos Whitfield, of Lees Mill Road, was arrested and charged with assault on a female, the report said.
According to the report, a judge set an unsecured bond of $500.
Latoya Adams, of Brandon Street, is listed as the complainant on the report.
Man charged with B&E
Deputies charged a 44-year old Laurinburg man with a car break-in, according to a sheriff's report.
Ronald Gregory Bray, of Montclair drive, is charged with larceny, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny from a motor vehicle and trespassing.
Bray was released on a written promise to appear in court.
Burglary in Maxton
Someone broke into a Lady Drive home and stole a 20-inch television, satellite box, Playstation II game console and games, home decor and four phones.
According to a sheriff's report, the home had no signs of forced entry when owner Timothy McMillian, 45, came home at about 10 p.m. The missing items were valued at about $2,040, the report said.
Man arrested for false info
A Laurinburg man came to Rockingham to get a television set and computer from a rent-to-buy store and ended up a police suspect.
Michael Anthony Goldwire, 51, Laurinburg, was arrested on a felony charge of obtaining property by false pretense.
He had obtained $1,499.99 worth of property from a store on East Broad Avenue, Rockingham.
When the store checked the personal information they were provided by Goldwire, it was reported to police as being false.
