Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Aberdeen. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.
The public viewing ill be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at Purcell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
He is survived by his wife Mattie Jones of Aberdeen, daughters Jennifer Jones-Sayerville of New Jersey and Jilliann Jones-Hendrick of Elmsford, N.Y., son James Jones, Jr. of New York, N.Y., sister Cleddie Barge of Birmingham, Ala., brother Willie Jones of Birmingham, four grandchildren, seven great-granchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
