The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participating businesses are asked to provide an activity (face painting, chalk drawings, poetry posted on outside windows, balloon animals, Claymation) for children to do either in front of or in their store.
LDRC will be organizing food vendors and larger activities such as a bounce house and slide for the day.
Each business will also partner with one of the schools in Scotland County. LDRC will be asking each schools to provide five to 10 pieces of children’s artwork to be placed in the supporting businesses’ windows.
On the day of the festival, each business will choose their store’s/school’s winner. Each of the sixteen winners will then have their artwork placed in a calendar to be sold as a fundraiser for LDRC.
Interested businesses should contact, Barbara Alexander LDRC administrative assistant by April 1. Her telephone is 280-1557.
"If you wish to share in the planning of this event, please feel free to join us on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 at the Daily Grind," Alexander said.
