The Scots improve to 15-0 this year with the 20-point win over the Patriots. Perfection awaits Scotland if the team can get a road win at Purnell Swett on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Scotland led 13-11 after one quarter of play, but pulled away, outscoring the Patriots 29-12 in the second and third quarters to go ahead 42-23.
This is a balanced Scotland team. Isaiah Robinson had 14 points to lead the Scots. Center Seyyan Moody had 13, Dominique Green and Tony McRae scored 10 apiece and Casion Murphy added seven points.
It was the sixth game in a row that Scotland has placed at least four players in double figures scoring.
"We came out real strong," said SHS head coach Steve Hamilton. "Pinecrest gave us a good game in the first and second quarters, but in the third quarter, we kind of kicked it up a notch and got some turnovers.
"We ran our 3-2 half-court trap, got some turnovers out of it and scored some easy baskets."
The Scotland ninth-grade girls were off on Thursday. Their final game precedes the boys' game at Purnell Swett on Monday at 5 p.m.
