The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that his wife had never formally divorced either of her two previous husbands.
"Its not the way you do people," he said. "You take care of your business before you move on."
Officials at the sheriff's office confirmed that the man did file a report, but depuities have not made an arrest. They declined to comment on the case.
The husband said he found out about the first marriage through his mother-in-law and did some digging to find out about the other one.
He said her first husband was Christopher Lynn Scott but was uncertain about the name of her second husband.
He said knows the man lives in New Jersey but said he has not been able to get cooperation with state officials.
He said his wife recently left him, moving elsewhere in Laurel Hill.
"I gave up my business, I gave my life, I gave up everything for this woman," he said. "She said she needed to get away and we got away."
He said he has attempted to contact his wife on several occasions but she refuses to speak to him. He said he has filed an incident report with the Sheriff's office.
A sheriff's official speculated that with the case would probably go to civil court because, while bigamy is a crime, most of the relevant issues from from bigamy are contractual violations. The official was uncertain if there would be an arrest.
