A 22-year old Laurinburg man was arrested by Smithfield police after allegedly robbing the Internet Cafe on North Main Street in Laurinburg, according to a police report.
Tyrone Antwan Jones, of Beta Street, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, the report said.
According to the report, man entered the store with a handgun and robbed the business of $1,503 in cash. Witnesses at the scene identified the man as Jones.
Jones is in Johnston County jail under a $60,000 secured bond and is expected to be transferred to Scotland County for his first appearance, which is today, the report said.
Laurinburg man accused of larceny
A Laurinburg man was arrested for larceny charges in Robeson County, according to a sheriff's report.
According to the report, 38-year old Kenneth Dewayne Campbell of Honey Street is charged with a larceny from Jan. 13.
He is in Scotland County jail under a $2,000 bond, according to the report.
Firearms stolen in Laurinburg
Three Smith & Wesson handguns were reported stolen from a residence on Ray Locklear Road in Laurinburg, a sheriff's report said.
The guns were a .357 blue steel revolver and a .38 caliber blue steel revolver, both value ad $350, and a .357 magnum valued at $400, according to the report.
Also listed on the report was a 4x28 pistol scope valued at $150.
The report did not indicate a forcible entry.
