RAEFORD — The Scotland High School boys' ninth-grade basketball team moved to 11-0 with a 55-38 win at Hoke County on Thursday.
Center Seyyan Moody led the Scots with 15 points. Isaiah Robinson had a dozen points, Dominique Green had nine, Casion Murphy added eight and Tony McRae had seven points for the Scots in the 17-point victory.
"We started off kind of slow, but really picked it up in the third and fourth quarters," said SHS head coach Steve Hamilton.
The SHS ninth-grade boys will be at Anson on Monday at 5 p.m.
Girls
The Scotland ninth-grade girls won 56-31 at Hoke on Thursday, improving to 6-3 on the year.
Scotland's Shae Barnes led all scorers with 20 points. Samaril Ratliffe had 13 points and Quashira Diggs added eight.
The ninth-grade Lady Scots host South View on Thursday at 5 p.m.
